AppShotKit

Privacy Policy

Last updated 3 August 2026

This policy explains what AppShotKit collects, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to appshotkit.com and the AppShotKit web app.

What we collect

  • Account data. Your email address, name, and — if you sign in with Google — the profile name and avatar Google returns. We never receive your Google password.
  • Content you provide. App names, descriptions, brand colours, logos, and any screenshots or screen recordings you upload.
  • Public store data. When you submit an App Store link, we retrieve the listing's public metadata and screenshots.
  • Generated output. The concept sets and final screenshots produced for you.
  • Usage and billing data. Token transactions, generation job records, subscription status, and payment events.
  • Product analytics. Page views and feature usage, collected to understand how the product is used.

We do not collect or store your card details. Payments are handled entirely by Paddle.

Why we collect it

  • To create your account and keep you signed in.
  • To generate screenshots — the core function of the service.
  • To meter token usage and bill you correctly.
  • To send transactional email about your account and jobs.
  • To detect abuse and keep the service running.
  • To improve the product based on aggregate usage.

How your screenshots are processed

Images and app details you provide are sent to OpenAI to generate your screenshots. This is necessary to deliver the service. Per OpenAI's API terms, content submitted through the API is not used to train their models by default.

We do not use your uploads or generated output to train any model of our own, and we do not share them with other users unless you explicitly create a public share link for a project.

Where your files are stored

Uploads and generated images are stored in Supabase Storage in private buckets. Access requires a signed, time-limited URL tied to your account. Projects you deliberately share with a public link are readable by anyone holding that link until you disable it.

How long we keep data

  • Account and billing records — retained while your account is open, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Projects, uploads, and generated images — retained until you delete them or close your account.
  • Deleted accounts — content is removed within 30 days of your deletion request.

Who we share data with

We use these processors, and no others:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, file storage.
  • OpenAI — image generation and analysis.
  • Paddle — payments, invoicing, and tax. Paddle is the merchant of record for your purchase.
  • Resend — transactional and marketing email delivery.
  • PostHog — product analytics.

We do not sell your personal data.

Email

Transactional email — verification, receipts, job completion, billing problems — is part of the service and cannot be switched off while your account is open. Marketing email is separate and every message carries an unsubscribe link.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correction of anything inaccurate, or deletion of your account and its contents. Account deletion is available in your settings, or you can email us and we will action it.
